The property on this website is situated in the calm hamlet of Chezelet,
approximately 1.5k from the villages of Panzoult and Cravant-les-Coteaux.
Panzoult has a bar-tabac, boulangerie, tennis court, mini golf, childrens play
area and fishing lake. In Cravant les Coteaux there is an auberge, bar-tabac,
bar, boulangerie and tennis court. The nearest supermarkets - plus other
amenities - are in L'Ile Bouchard, approximately 5k from the properties.
The medieval town of Chinon with its narrow cobbled streets is about 8k
away. In the town there is a large range of shops, supermarkets and
restuarants. Every Thursday there is a large open market in the town.
The chateaux of Chinon, Azay-le-Rideau, Villandry, Usse, Amboise,
Langeais, Loches, Chenonceau and Saumur are all within easy reach of the
gite.
Tours - the regional capital - is about 30k from Chezelet - a train service runs
from Chinon to the city. From Tours it is possible to take the TGV to Paris
(1hr), Charles de Gaulle Airport (1.5hrs) or fly direct from Tours to Stansted

The area is ideal for walking, fishing and canoeing on the River Vienne or
cycling through the vineyards or the forest - bikes and canoes can be hired
from Chinon.
