The Gites on the following pages are to be found near
Chinon in the Loire Valley, between the villages of
Panzoult and Cravant les Coteaux in the heart of the
Chinon Vineyards.
Situated in the hamlet of Chezelet - bordered by the
River Vienne and the Forest of Chinon - they provide an
ideal base for visiting the majestic chateaux of thr Loire
Valley - the chateaux of Azay-le-Rideau, Usse, Langeais,
Amboise, Loches, Chenonceau, Villandry, Saumur and
Chinon are all within easy reach.
Tours - the regional capital - is about 35k/half an hour by
car away. Over the last few years there has been an
increase in low cost air travel to the region - there are
airports at Tours, Poitiers, Angers and Nantes - all
airports have car hire available.
Paris is 1 hour from Tours by TGV and from Charles de
Gaulle Airport to Tours is 1 hour 30 mins. If you are
holidaying by car, France has an excellent motorway
(autoroute) network that is relatively quiet compared with
